Once you have ready with all details, you need to upload WordPress on your server. Now login in cPanel by typing your domain URL in browser address bar followed by /cPanel eg:, fill the username and password and navigate to file manager icon.

It will let you jump to a new tab. (if you got any popup for directory selection, so) select public_htm directory. Here you have to upload downloaded WordPress zip file, on the top menu click on upload link or icon and brows WordPress zip file from your local computer.

After successfully uploaded, unzip or extract the zip file in the public_html folder. It will be showing you something in a folder name as WordPress followed by version.

If you like to install WordPress in a subfolder (like, then rename unzip folder to your desired name /public_html/blog/.

Or if you want to install WordPress on your root domain then, brows the folder by double clicks and move all files and folder in the root directory (public_html) in cPanel.

How to create database for WordPress installation in cPanel

Now open your domain in browser it will show you further steps, to configure database, username, password etc to install WordPress on your domain.

Now it’s time to create mysql database username and database password manually.  In the cPanel home page find the MySql dabase icon, it will ask you to create a database filed. Enter your desired database name, and click “Create Database”.

Now the final step is, to give access to user to database and give them full permissions to perform all actions. See the image reference.


At this stage all cPanel tasks has been completed, MySQL database and user are created, now we will run the WordPress installer by open your url in browser.

Of course WordPress installation prompt you to enter your installation details like blog title, username & password and admin email id.
